Bio – Allison Kearnan
Allison has completed the Social Service Worker Program at Humber College Lakeshore and is working towards completing her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Family Support and Community Practices at Ryerson University. She has been a part of various organizations that strive toward connecting clients with appropriate resources. She executed these tasks at LAMP CHC in the ASK! Community Information Center. Allison has volunteered alongside SEYA, a youth program run through a peer support approach and is directed at engaging the Lakeshore youth community to participate in skills development as well as take an active role in the community. Allison is a strong advocate who supports the disrupting of violence against women and she completed a student placement at Interval House in Toronto. As a placement student within the Toronto TTC office since September Allison learned and appreciates the value of the program. Going forward she aims at progressing within the crisis intervention realm.
