Bio - Cristina Lopes
Cristina Lopes is the Participant Support Worker of the Mood Disorder Society of Canada, Toronto Office for the Transitions to Communities Project.
Cristina is a recent graduate of the Social Work Program at George Brown College and has been an integral asset in helping to establish the Toronto Transitions to Communities program. Cristina has contributed her talents to many organizations such as the University of Toronto in partnership with Ontario College of Family Physicians and Surgeons. Her previous experience working at Toronto Emergency Medical Services was instrumental during the SARS outbreak. She was awarded a commendation for providing excellence in patient care, as well as a certificate of appreciation for her hard work through those times by the Mayor of Toronto. She is an active patient advocate and looks forward to continuing her studies in Mental Health and resiliency.
