Hi everyone.I'm pretty new to my diagnoses of bipolar.I'm going through what they call a mania state in which i get myself into trouble.Just wanted to say hi.Any advise during these mania states would be appreciated, thanks.

Think logically before the mania state about how to avoid getting into trouble. Listen to music maybe or talk to someone. Probably not drink alcohol.

Thanks Toronton.I gave up alcohol two years ago because it made me "act out" worse than ever...which is understandable.

Hi Patti0178 and welcome to the forum. I'd say have an accountability partner. Have someone hold you accountable to what you're doing and what you say you're going to do while manic.

Do you have a doctor or a psychiatrist in place already?
