Just wondering if anyone else noticed that your alcohol consumption went up when you started taking Ativan? Maybe if a person has a genetic predisposition?

Hello Leila63. I've taken ativan for a very long time and I never noticed that it made me drink more. Actually all the warnings about mixing ativan and alcohol together made me more cautious about how much I drank as the two when combined have killed many a person by accident.
I know that some people like the pleasant high that a few drinks of alcohol and a couple of tabs of ativan can provide as the two have a synergy effect ( Synergy, the combination of two or more things that creates an effect which is greater than the sum of both separately).
