Today was a good Christmas Day. Despite being the first one since the breakup with my boyfriend, I did ok today. I had a good friend over, and a couple of young people, and we kept it simple but still celebrated and everyone seemed to enjoy it. And since we did some gingerbread decorating I now have a little house covered in coloured icing looking at me in a tempting way. But I'm stuffed, so maybe tomorrow!

Today's good thing may not sound like one to some people, but I turned down an offer of New Year's Eve celebrations in favour of staying home and going to bed early My sleeps have been really rotten lately and I feel like a walking zombie. A friend of mine was given a weighted blanket for Christmas and says it makes a huge difference in calming her arthritis pain so she gets a great sleep. I plan to look into that.
