It was far from an A+, but it was a pass.
Yesterday I submitted a proposal for independent research. My supervisor has an excellent track record of getting his students' work published, and our budget includes funds to publish an open access paper as well as funds to fly me to an international conference to present it in 2021. As long as things don't completely disintegrate there'll be *something* to write about and present.Pressure makes diamonds....Comment

Today's good thing is that I took a leisurely bubble bath, and let my mind go nowhere. I also did a little simple breathing meditation.I was surprised at how much these things replenished my depleted emotional reserves. Now I'm toying with the idea of treating myself to a massage. Funny how you can get caught up in turmoil and completely forget how wonderful it is to give special care to yourself, when you'd give it to the next person without question.uni

I just came back from a visit with my brother who lives in the U.S. It was great to see him and his family and get a break from winter with their 23C .
Other than an hour delay in the flight home, and a dark wintry highway drive home, the travels went smoothly.AJ

When I was getting ready to drive Edmonton -> Calgary yesterday both AMA and 511 were showing bad roads Wetaskiwin to Olds. By the time I got there the plows had been out and the roads were fine
