    CBT and bipolar

Has anyone used CBT to help treat their Bipolar II systems along with medication? Or even just CBT on it's own?

I'm not bi polar but treatment resistant major depressive, bpd and I never can spell this one right but it means always in a low mood. dysthmia I was in a study that were given real and private sector CBT. Unfortunately after five decades I tried it all but really when he suggested the elastic band on wrist in exchange of thoughts of cutting myself but then again I too much of a hard ass.

Hello KK1977. I use CBT to help control my depressive episodes and it works not too bad. I can't use antidepressants as they make me manic. CBT isn't as successful controlling my mania and for that I use medication. Take Care. paul m

Okay, I'm still in the midst of using CBT for anger, depression and mania. I've only so far been successful with it for my road rage
