    Initial posts in threads???

    Sorry, though I signed up here a while ago, I'm new as an acitve member of this community, and I'm just a little confused. I was just hoping someone could explain this to me. It always seems to me that the initial post in a thread is missing.........I can't find it. The first thing I read always seems to be a reply. What am I missing here?
