Suggestion for new Section

Hello Everybody,

Right now we have the business end of mood disorders and substance abuse covered. I would like to suggest a more light hearted section. In this new section could be use as a place to:

• A place where new members can introduce themselves
• Wish someone a happy birthday
• Share one of your favourite pictures
• Tel a joke
• Share a recopies
• Have games like word association
• Tell us what you did yesterday

Instead of calling it General or Miscellaneous I though why not something more Jazzy or Fun like ‘The Spa on the Lake’ or ‘The Daily Pickle’ or ‘The Sandbox’ or something like that. If you like one in particular let us know, if you have a suggestion, we would like to hear it so post away

Hello Woody. I think its a great Idea. There have been times where I would have wished someone a happy birthday, but a private message seemed to personel and there was really no other place for it. As well jokes etc can help make for a good forum if they are segragated. Take Care. paul m

Hello All! It's been awhile since I've checked in so this suggestion for a new section for jokes, BD wishes, etc. is a GREAT idea - but what to call it? I'll keep thinking about that one and let you know at some point. In the meantime, I came up with a subjective "funny" the other day - remember, I work in a grocery store, right? So, the humourous line goes:

Why is it, when I go shopping after my shift, I feel like I'm bringing my work home with me?!....

Well, I thought it was cute....

Maybe if we could post a humourous look ourselves, we'd be able to get a better handle on, different perspective on, our situations - I know that when I come up with a "funny" about me, myself and I, the weight lifts off me a bit, I can relax better and it keeps me going for a while.

Regarding the weight gain with some meds, I stick out my stomach and pat it while saying, "I'm becoming a woman of substance!" And, technically, I am - the substance of healing into a more normal human being - just because I've got "more to love" along with that progress, is cause for a chuckle about it.

And we ALL know that the GREATEST humour comes from the DEEPEST traume - ohmigawd - can ya TELL?! Does it show THAT much?

See? It's easy to be on the lighter side of crazy, and I'm looking forward to reading YOUR contributions real soon!

Hey, since I LOVE alliteration, we could title this section "The Funny Forum" ( a play on the phrase "The Funny Farm") Whaddya think?

You might have said it before that you worked in a grocery store, but my memory is not what it use to be.

When I think back, all the food that I ate and now this tiny little bag make this difference the next morning when I get on the scale. Makes no sense to me. And if you really want to ruin a good day at the shoppers start counting calories

I got into trouble for not bring my work home than later I got into trouble for bringing work home. Can't win for trying!

Hello Woody. In regards to names. MerelyMe08 has some good ideas. Myself I like your idea of the sandbox. When I was younger a sandbox was a place, to relax, to play and to meet others. Which is what the new forum could become. Take Care. paul m

I used to have a friend that worked at the same company as I, and when she discovered how shallow and childish people were (including some of the scientific staff), she called it "operation sandbox"... dump sand in someone's hair and see if they run crying! lol

if there's sand, pails and shovels, I want a corner of the sandbox too!

Uh sorry but my suggestion wasn't "The Funny Farm...."
It was "The Funny FORUM" which just sounded like the other phrase - can you please update your list before we come to a final choice? Thanks!
