    The tiger in the night

Ferocious lips are rising with the stinging sun
I took my chances and found your snowy eyes
And broke your golden worked heart

Pine trees grew inside of me and reached the sky
As the earth took the shape of a tiger
And ran out in the heat roaring at the Milky Way

They call it an illness, they call it a disease
They would lock me up for my stripes, for my zest
I'm just a spicy meal, a delicatessen that melts sour

Do you remember the words that meant nothing
As feelings wrapped into motion made up everything
That was me, that was us, that was all

I'm riding the tiger through out the night
We are hung in the sky as a constellation
    It's midnight, midday, 1952, yeah, I'm shining
