    General Topics Research studies

I've been asked to pass this along to anyone interested in participating:

    Hello,
My name is Nev and I am a research analyst working in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders program at CAMH. I am currently recruiting interested participants for a couple of our research studies and was wondering whether you would be able to pass this information along to interested individuals.

    Study Descriptions

    * The Breathing Focused Yoga for social anxiety study is 8 weeks and SAD
participants (18-65 years) get randomized to receive yoga immediately or
are wait-listed and receive it at the next group. It is open to anyone for
whom social anxiety is the primary difficulty.

    * The internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) study is 8-10 weeks and is limited to
participants aged 18-29 years who are experiencing depression and/or
anxiety. They are also randomized to either receive immediate treatment or are put into the wait-list group. While modules are completed online, participants will have weekly contact with a psychologist,
as well as attend on-site study visits.

    * Our biomarker study (CAN-BIND) offers patients with depression
(18-65 years) treatment with a widely available antidepressant (not a
trial drug). The aim is to identify biological indicators of treatment
response so that sometime in the future, we might be able to figure out early
what medications are more likely to work for a particular patient, and
make better treatment decisions. Since the study involves a lot of patient
time for interviews, blood work, MRI scans, EEG, etc., there is
compensation - up to $400 per patient who completes the full study.

I also have flyers available but didn't have the option of attaching it with this message.

    Kind Regards,
    Nev
