I'm new here. I am 72 and have battled depression and anxiety for many, many years. I am currently terribly depressed and have anxiety plus plus plus. I am desperate to lose weight but when I feel better, I'm gonna try WW. Today I did five sets of up and down stairs and then hopefully I'll
do 1/2 hr. on the treadmill. Did I mention that I hate myself and I don't want to see anyone, not even my adult children. In years past I had a psychiatrist to talk to but he's retired. OH Hell, I know this is temporary but I feel like I don't have it in me to battle this bastard again!
Hi June1525 and welcome to the forums. Have you asked your family doctor to refer you to another psychiatrist? Have you considered counselling? Depression, anxiety, 'plus plus' sounds overwhelming.
The battle of extra weight is not an easy one. Do you have a buddy you feel comfortable seeing that you could buddy up with? Exercise is a great first step and you're doing that.
