    Never underestimate the power of...

I'm repeatedly amazed at the power of certain things to help me feel better when I feel crummy:

    1) music.. especially early Beatles, or some of my vinyl records from way back (I love the scratchy static of used records)

    2) just stepping outside the door for some air, even in a snowstorm.

    3) an episode or two of Corner Gas

    4) writing a few lines in my journal, or some kind of stick figure drawing (I'm no artist )

There are other things too but that's enough for now. Today I did the journaling and got outside in the moist drizzly air.

I'd love to hear what else has worked for people over and over again! It might be nice to try something new.

    1) walking
    2) writing
    3) coffee or a meal shared with a friend
    4) an evening with at least one episode of Big Bang Theory (I love comedy)
    5) watching a sunrise greet a new day
    6) seeing the face of pure joy my dog Bella has, when I bring a ball out to play

I'm with you on the walking AJ. Today I underestimated the power of how good it would feel to take a nice long walk in the cool air (well, warm for this time of year at plus 5!) I felt so good afterward
