    Hi
I still have some of the burning mouth but it has lessened a lot since going off lithium ....he put me on Divalproex 250 mg twice daily. My mood is better but I can sleep till noon or longer. Has or is anyone on it. I also don't feel like doing much of anything with out really pushing myself.
Also are there any ladies out there that are hot most of the times from any of the drugs they take....I go sleeveless all the time, it's a real joke among my friends as they have sweaters and jackets on. I can take a cool shower and when I get out I can be hot again. I have had my blood checked and all is well ...hormones too.

So they checked your thyroid when they did the blood work?

hmm, never had hot flashes or a warm feeling from meds. Could be hormones. There are more involved blood tests that they can do to check hormones. You could ask for a blood test of your adrenals. I had that done. You just have to have your blood taken twice in one day at certain times--it has something to do with when the hormones are released or something.

Otherwise, have you talked to your pharmacist or doc? Sometimes they can tell you whether it is the med or not and when you can expect it to go away. It sounds uncomfortable! I am one of those people who would rather be freezing than sweating.

        good luck,

I am hot all the time too. It started when I got pregnant and never went away. I think I am going to have to become a nudist when menopause hits.

Clozapine gives me night sweats. I'm going to keep blaming Clozapine right through menopause.
