Dancer, I appreciate your post, thanks for sharing.

I truly hope you feel better soon. Not only that, but I remember how difficult it was going through depression when I had a job to do. The need to keep a roof over your head and food on the table is very real.

I congratulate you for making it through your shift! You are indeed resilient I'm glad you made it onto the forum today too. You make a difference here.

Forgot to put today's good thing. I went walking for over half an hour today. That's the longest walk I've taken for a while, mostly due to wintery conditions like snow, ice, wind, and brutal temperatures. Today much of the ice has melted (at least until it freezes overnight) and it warmed up to plus 5 Celsius, a far cry from the minus 30's and 40's we were recently stuck at for weeks on end. I'll take the sloppy puddles and roads for a change. Hooray!

That sounds lovely uni! My one good thing is that spring is on the way! We had a two-day snow storm this week, and I am appreciating that it looks like the weather will be warmer (and less snowy) in the next couple of weeks!

Hello RunningKnitter. I hope you get a break from the weather; it really does make a difference. We had a mild spell and are back to colder, but the daylight hours are longer and any snow from here on can only last so long before spring temperatures melt it

My good thing today is that I had a long phone call with one particular family member who really can push my buttons, and despite it lasting 90 minutes I managed not to buy into all her drama etc. and got off with my sanity relatively intact - whew!

It doesn't always go that way, so when it does I'm grateful. Unfortunately I have found it wise to reduce my exposure to her, it's too crazymaking. She is losing family and friends and doesn't have many people to talk to these days. I've often thought she has undiagnosed mental illness but she won't even entertain that possibility. She is perfectly fine and right in her own mind. She's a senior citizen and I don't expect much to change. Anyway, it was definitely a good thing that I got off the phone before being drawn into the chaos.

My latest good thing is that I was given a very cool travel mug. I had broken my previous one. Most are too big but this one is just the right size!

A good thing in the last 24 hours is that I got myself to sit down and get started on my income tax return. Hooray.

Today's good thing is I started a series of group sessions about DBT ie. dialectical behavior therapy. I think it's already helping me

Today's good thing is appreciating the morning greetings of the chickadees outside my window.

Today's other good thing is coming here and seeing you continue to post on 'one good thing'.
