Thought I'd sent you a picture of myself. I'm the guy behind the kid in the yellow shirt. You'll recognize me because I'm waving.

Hello All. I'm glad that you enjoyed the joke. However I will be honest,
one of my reasons for posting it was that I have enjoyed other peoples jokes so much here that I did not want the thread to go dormant as I get a lot of laughs out them. (OK so I'm selfish, sue me). Thx everyone , pls keep posting them. Take Care. paul m

Re-O, I almost had an accident because I laughed so hard at a couple of yours. Thx. Take Care. paul m

People are always using proverbs to set me straight. You know the ones, Hard Work is its own reward blah, blah, blah.

I came across a list of contrictory proverbs that I kinda of liked. Here are a few examples.

          Look before you leap.
          He who hesitates is lost.

If at first you don't succeed, try , try again.
Don't beat your head against a brick wall.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Out of sight out of mind.

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.
Don't cross that bridge till you come to it.

It's better to be safe than sorry.
          Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Birds of a feather flock together.
          Opposites attract.

You're never to old to learn.
You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

          Take Care All. paul m

Don't you just love those proverbs, no matter what course of action someone decides to take in their lives, there is a proverb to back it up, I guess we can never be wrong

Re-O, I read this thread yesterday and it made me laugh. Posted a reply but it went into the black hole of cyberspace I guess. I came back today to look at the jokes and am now chuckling all over again. So thanks .

Hi Re-O, I also liked the Tweety joke the best, especially when Tweety said he never charged anything on his credit card...Too funny...That's what is was like for me when i was manic, i never spent any money while I was sleeping.

Hi Storm, I loved the joke, any sign that has doggie language on it is funny for me.
