One good thing

Today had several good things, the best of which was the mid-20 degree temperature. Wowser - that almost never happens here at the end of September! I thoroughly enjoyed taking an extra long walk through a neighbourhood I lived in years ago. It wasn't leafy and green then, but it is now. How wonderful to wander up and down the streets with such beautiful fall colours in the trees

I think we're done with the summer-like temperatures here as of today. Furnace running, chilly wind blowing, seasonal change about which I have mixed feelings

Still, a good thing today is that I went to bed earlier than usual last night, had a decent sleep for the most part, and slept in as long as I needed to. I'm a believer in the restorative properties of sleep, but for some reason still feel tired. Anyway, I plan to take myself out somewhere today for coffee and some writing, so am looking forward to it.

A good thing today is I tried a new style of haircut. I like it okay so far. The test will come after the first time I wash it, and it's me, not the stylist. who has to try and tame the wayward strands!

Today's good thing is with the moderate weather, the mood struck me to pull out a bunch of tall weeds in the back lane, which the landlord didn't address before leaving on a trip. Yesterday's rain softened the soil and they came out great! I enjoyed the exercise, fresh air, and sense of accomplishment

I meditated today! Still find it really hard to quiet my mind but it's worth the effort.

Today's good thing is I had a super good sleep last night and feel very rested!

I've had a crazy week (a lot of appointments) and it was nice to finally get a good night's sleep last night. I find the older I get, the more I need my sleep.

Today's good thing is I like my new next door neighbours. It's a single mother and two little girls. Had the opportunity to give them Halloween treats

A good thing today is that a family member I rarely get to see came through town and we spent a couple of hours together

Today's good thing is that I wrote a little bit of my life story and read it to a friend, and they enjoyed it

Today's good thing is I made plans to attend a Christmas concert with a friend next week. Now I get to look forward to it!
