I have so many travel stories to tell I'm finding it harder than usual to use my 'listening skills'.

The good news is I caught up on a few phone calls with family yesterday, and the better news is I practiced my listening skills and things went well!

Well we just got back from Hawaii (Kauai) and it was an awesome break from winter, self isolation is hard, but being home is a relief too!

Today a friend made split pea soup for the first time. I got to be one of the taste testers. It was a success!

That’s a nice unexpected free coffee.

Today's good thing: when I went for coffee to one of the local places, the lady behind the counter gave me a free large one! Turns out she thought the people ahead of me had ordered two, but they only wanted one. So I gave her a tip and that was the price of my coffee Even though I never finished it -- way too big!

One good thing: I went for a long walk in the beautiful zero degree weather. Made a couple of snowballs and threw them at some trees... took me back to happy childhood memories
