The Defeat Depression campaign continues to build on its five years of success assisting community mental health organizations raise much-needed funds to support their services and programs. The campaign has again seen expansion with new locations and events across Canada.  MDSC is proud to welcome new event locations in Antigonish, Woodstock/Oxford , Orillia, Charlottetown, Barrie, Perth/Smith Falls and Montreal. Our sincere thanks to our event organizers, our many volunteers, and our national sponsors. Oxford’s first annual Defeat Depression event, a Walk/Run, on Sunday October 2nd, 2016. Helped spread awareness about mental health issues and de-stigmatize mental illness. Proceeds from this year’s event went to Oxford Self-Help Network, a vital mental health resource in the community. “This was an excellent fundraiser for us. For the second year in a row, the UNMASK MENTAL HEALTH Defeat Depression Walk/Run in Airdrie AB  has showcased creativity and community spirit. What an amazing event, complete with hot air balloon rides, bouncy castles, live music, face painting and more.
