Bio – Cristina Almeida

Cristina is a Communications graduate with a specialization in Advertising from the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador. She has over 10 years of experience working in communications, mainly in Ecuador’s public sector, where she contributed to teams at the National Assembly of Ecuador, the Consortium of Provincial Governments, and the national emergency service 9-1-1. In these roles, she worked closely with public-interest communication, where clear and thoughtful messaging plays an important role in serving communities.

Her experience includes social media management, content creation, graphic design, and communication strategy development. Cristina has always seen communication as more than just a profession, but as a way to connect with people and contribute in a meaningful way.
At Mood Disorders Society of Canada, Cristina works on the Insomnia Program, supporting awareness initiatives, building partnerships with stakeholders, and engaging organizations interested in the workplace program.

Outside of work, Cristina enjoys long walks, discovering new places, and trying different cuisines from around the world.
