Bio - Adam Haynes
Adam holds an MSc in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University with a specialization in health technology assessment. He has more than two decades of experience in systematic reviews, meta-analysis, epidemiology, guideline development, health technology assessment, and health economics. Adam has developed these skills in roles at CADTH (the predecessor to Canada’s Drug Agency), the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR), Cancer Care Ontario and McMaster University. Currently, Adam is an Associate Director of Value, Policy and Access at Eisai Limited, where he leads strategic reimbursement activities to obtain access to important medicines for those who need them.
Adam is very blessed with a loving and supportive wife, four amazing adult children and two wonderful daughters-in-law. He supported and walked with family members as they struggled with insomnia, depression, anxiety, and deep personal loss. One of the most profound discoveries he has made over the years is that mental health is a lifelong journey, with many valleys and hills, some deeper, some taller. Sometimes, those hills are too steep to climb alone. Stepping up and helping by providing a hand or just walking beside someone in need can make all the difference.
