Bio – Marie-Pier Mazerolle

Marie-Pier Mazerolle is a doctoral student in clinical psychology (D.Psy.) at the Université de Moncton (N.-B.), where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May of 2024. Passionate about wellness and mental health, Marie-Pier has volunteered with Kids Help Phone as a Crisis Responder (CR) and as a peer mentor at her university through the “Mentorat Etudiant” program, which helped first-year students navigate the many ups and downs of the post-secondary transition. She was also a member of the Frank McKenna Center for Leadership, in which she completed a mentorship and community intervention project.

As a future clinician in the field , Marie-Pier’s main motivation is giving back to the community that helped shape the person that she is today. Being a French Canadian in a language minority environment, she has witnessed first-hand the many challenges encountered when trying to access French resources. Marie-Pier is passionate about making resources accessible for youth all over Canada so that they can get the care that they deserve. She previously co-chaired MDSC’s National Youth Advisory Council (2022-2024), and currently acts as an Advisory member. She is also the Finance and Administrative Executive of the student section of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
