From September 11th to 23rd, Clay Williams will be running 750 km along the Trent Severn and Rideau Canals, running by 88 locks, ending on Parliament Hill, to raise funds, awareness of depression, end the stigma of mental illness, and to encourage people to reach out for help. Mental illness impacts every family. Research shows 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental illness or a mental health concern each year. The statistics are staggering. It strikes all socioeconomic, educational, and cultural backgrounds.

Clay partnered with the Mood Disorders Society of Canada and their Defeat Depression campaign, and is running in honor of his wife, his daughter and his sister who all suffer from mood disorders, and in memory of his two older brothers who took their own lives.

Thank you to the sponsors and supporters of his Defeat Depression campaign.
