FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Belleville, ON — July 31, 2026 — Mood Disorders Society of Canada (MDSC) today announced the appointment of Krista Craig as the organization’s new Director of Strategic Growth. Craig will lead the organization’s national and international partnership initiatives and revenue diversification strategy, which are designed to scale and expand mental health programs, access, and support structures across Canada.

In this senior executive role, Craig will balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution. She will lead the acquisition of multi-year revenue streams, establish a national MDSC Sustainability Council, and forge strategic alliances with private, public, and philanthropic organizations to ensure the society’s long-term operational sustainability.

“We are so very grateful to have Krista as a dedicated core member of our senior leadership team at such a pivotal moment in our organizational growth,” said Dave Gallson, MDSC National Executive Director. “Krista’s strategic insight and hands-on execution have been instrumental in aligning our funding timelines with our expanding digital and program infrastructure, allowing us to safely and effectively enhance our support networks.”

Operating at the intersection of healthcare, business development, and philanthropy, Craig’s exceptional relationship-building skills encourage mission champions. She will lead grant architecture relationships with healthcare foundations, design tech-forward corporate partnerships, and transition traditional funding relationships into deeply invested, long-term strategic alliances.

“I am incredibly honoured to support the important mission of the MDSC,” said Krista Craig. “By combining sustainable revenue strategies with impact-driven corporate and community alliances, we will cultivate a resilient network of support. I look forward to working closely with our partners across Canada and internationally to unlock new opportunities that bring meaningful, accessible mental health programming to our communities and support to our families and friends.”

Craig joined MDSC with an extensive background in progressive fundraising, business development, and project management across both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has built a reputation as a trusted leader in healthcare and strategic fundraising, specializing in program start-ups and institutional alliances.
