Mood Disorders Society of Canada announces the 2022 Recipient of the Jordan James Pickell Award

The Mood Disorders Society of Canada is proud to announce ‘Nurse 2 Nurse Peer Support ’ as the 2022 recipient of the Jordan James Pickell Mental Health Achievement Recognition Award.

This award is presented to an organization who has made outstanding contributions to mental health education and anti-stigma activities that have had a positive impact on the mental health community. Specifically, by actively engaging students and staff in understanding and accepting mental illness and the importance of mental health. Any Canadian organization is eligible for this award.

Nurse 2 Nurse Peer Support (N2NPS ) is Canada’s first national NGO founded by Nurses for Nurses. Inspired by lived experiences as Nurses with psychological injuries, N2NPS provides free mental health education and support for Canada’s Nurses. N2NPS provides 1:1 peer support, Bi-weekly Peer support Circles, Psychoeducation training, Empowerment Education, Substance Use Task Force in collaboration with WESUP organization, and a Peer 2 Peer Wellness Program. N2NPS has also presented at several conferences and has engaged College students (in class) with their workshops.
