Bio – Kristina Hennessey Braun

National Program Manager with Mood Disorders Society of Canada.

Kristina has over 15 years experience in retail and financial management, but eventually found her passion in web design/development. She graduated with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 2020 and is now a National Program Manager for Mood Disorders Society of Canada.

Having lived with mental illness (Depression and Anxiety) for as long as she can remember, in 2020 she was drawn to apply for the volunteer posting for Website Auditor for MDSC. Her reliability, creativity and tenacity gained her a position (National Digital Creative Specialist) with the MDSC. Most recently, she redesigned the DefeatDepression.ca website, and is involved in many aspects of DepressionHurts.ca and MDSC.ca.

Kristina is also a proud volunteer for the MDSC Virtual Assistant Project (MIRA). From resource research and database entry as well as a member of the MIRA Expert Advisory Team.

She has great interest in learning about new mental health technologies and treatments, loves true crime documentaries, gardening and adores animals. She lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia with her husband Russell and their three cats, Cairo, Kleo and Cassie.
