Defeat Depression Marketing and Social Media Coordinator
The Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s Defeat Depression Campaign mobilizes communities into action, raising funds that directly support life-saving mental health interventions including counseling, education outreach initiatives, peer support, and early intervention activities. Coordinating national engagement takes time, passion and excellent organization. With support from volunteers and Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s staff, as a National Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator you will be a part of something truly extraordinary.
Some of the roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Overseeing and providing support to a diverse team of social media account managers to disseminate campaign content in a timely and consistent manner
- Monitoring campaign performance and providing recommendations to account managers to improve social media engagement and campaign reach
- Working closely with our National Campaign Engagement Specialist, Outreach Coordinators, and National Digital Creative Specialist to ensure alignment of messaging with particular consideration for engaging young audiences
- Providing recommendations to develop social media communication guidelines
- Reporting directly to the Defeat Depression National Campaign Coordinator
The ideal Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator has:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and social media engagement strategies
- Familiarity with web and social media platforms
- Excellent communication skills
- Access to a computer with Internet, and willingness to use new software programs
- Passion for mental health and community engagement
