Defeat Depression National Administrative Coordinator
The Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s Defeat Depression Campaign mobilizes communities into action, raising funds that directly support life-saving mental health interventions including counseling, education outreach initiatives, peer support, and early intervention activities. Together, we are generating awareness by directly changing the way society views mental illness.

Coordinating national engagement takes time, passion and excellent organization. This role might be a good fit for you if you are an exceptionally organized person with great communication skills and a passion for helping others. With support from volunteers and Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s staff, as a National Administrative Coordinator you will be a part of something truly extraordinary.
Some of the roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Assisting with coordinating a dispersed workforce of national volunteers (e.g. through scheduling meetings, coordinating communications, recording and distributing meeting minutes, following up on action items and assigned tasks)
- Assisting with campaign management activities (i.e. tracking merchandise inventory, communicating with campaign participants, and tracking other campaign metrics).
- Reporting directly to the Defeat Depression National Campaign Coordinator
- Attending virtual team meetings
The ideal campaign administrator has:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Access to a computer with Internet, and willingness to use new software programs
- Passion for mental health and community engagement
