Position Overview

TheWeb & Digital Support Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the organization’s digital operations, ensuring smooth functionality of websites, learning platforms, and online communication tools. This position is responsible for assisting with website maintenance, social media coordination, and providing technical support to staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will bring experience in website management, digital communications, and IT administration, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and improving digital engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update multiple organizational websites, ensuring content accuracy, functionality, and design consistency.
  • Publish news articles, blog posts, newsletters, and updates across digital platforms.
  • Support the administration of the WordPress-based Learning Management System (LMS), including assigning permissions and updating content.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for staff, volunteers, and online systems, primarily within Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
  • Assist with the design and maintenance of promotional and informational materials as needed.
  • Coordinate and distribute surveys to collect data for program evaluation and improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in digital communications, website maintenance, and IT support.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (WordPress preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of responsive and mobile-first web design principles.
  • Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience managing online platforms and databases.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and website performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools.
  • Basic understanding of back-end technologies (e.g., PHP, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud/TeamRaiser systems.
  • Interest in or commitment to mental health and non-profit sector work.

Remuneration: $50,000 annually
