Mood Disorders Society of Canada announces 2025 Recipient of the Jordan James Pickell Mental Health Achievement Recognition Award

Mood Disorders Society of Canada is proud to announce ‘The Do More Agricultural Foundation’ as the 2025 recipient of the Jordan James Pickell Mental Health Achievement Recognition Award.

This award is presented to an organization who has made outstanding contributions to mental health education and anti-stigma activities and that have had a positive impact on the mental health community. Specifically, by actively engaging students and staff in understanding and accepting mental illness and the importance of mental health. Any Canadian organization is eligible for this award.

The Do More Agriculture Foundation was founded by farmers for farmers, championing mental health in Canadian agricultural communities to cultivate a culture of mental well-being via its pillars of action for awareness, community for connection, and resources for support.

“It is with pleasure that MDSC announces the Jordan James Pickell Award recipient for 2025 as ‘The Do More Agriculture Foundation’. Do More’s mission is to ‘cultivate a culture of mental wellbeing within Canadian farming communities’. They offer many programs including mental health education and tips while farming communities are encouraged, empowered and supported to take care of their mental wellbeing.” says Cynthia Black, President of Mood Disorders Society of Canada.
